JUDY ANN LEGARE FOUNDATION

The Judy Ann Legare Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization named after the late Judy Ann Legare from John’s Island, SC. Judy was a graduate of St. John’s High School Class of 1979 and involved in a variety of organizations and activities at Wesley United Methodist Church and the community. Judy’s life’s journey consisted of her many acts of kindness to assist others. Her love for children led her to choose a career path with the Charleston County School District and each year she would use her personal resources to purchase school supplies and distribute them to children in the community. The Judy Ann Legare Foundation was established on April 1, 2015 to continue Judy’s work and is devoted to making a difference in our community by providing students with school supplies.

The Judy Ann Legare Foundation's mission is to provide students with the supplies they need in order to pursue the educational opportunity they deserve so that they can elevate their mind.
